Mazda to Participate in Milan Design Week 2015
- Exhibiting works of art inspired by Mazda's unique design philosophy at Mazda Design: The Car as Art -
HIROSHIMA, Japan—Mazda Motor Corporation will host Mazda Design: The Car as Art, from April 14 to 19 in the Brera district of central Milan, as part of Milan Design Week 2015.*
Mazda designers believe that the car is a work of art and they are constantly striving to design cars that move people emotionally. In order to refine the techniques and expressive power that allow them to breathe life into inanimate objects, they sometimes turn their attention to works of art other than cars, advancing the expression of a sense of life, particularly through forms that represent motion and the movement of reflections.
Mazda Design: The Car as Art will display art works born of this process of experimentation and study alongside Mazda's latest models, the Mazda CX-3 compact crossover SUV and Mazda MX-5 open-top two-seater sports car (known as Mazda Roadster in Japan).
First exhibiting in 2013, this will be the second time Mazda participates in Milan Design Week. Through Mazda Design: The Car as Art, the company will introduce some of its initiatives in the realm of design at one of the world's leading design events.
